About

The Department offers a full time Post Graduate M.B.A. programme affiliated to JNTUA, Anantapur governed by AICTE. The MBA programme has started in the year 2004 with very good infrastructure and an environment that is conducive for learning. It has been a hub of innovative activity and is constantly on the look out for the opportunities to collaborate with the industry as well as the educational institutions around the globe. The specializations offered are HR, Marketing, Systems and Finance.

The Department has obtained UGC-Autonomous Status in the year 2014 and is running the programmes successfully meeting all the requirements. The College Academic Council, Board of Studies of the department strive to provide quality education and most advanced curriculum and syllabus to make the students industry ready and excel in the contemporary business world.


The M.B.A. Programme under Department of Management Studies was Accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Chandra sekhar detailed on the significance of NSDC projects, which plays a key role in shaping their career. At forenoon session, he had an interaction with senior staff on research initiatives which is need of the hour.

  • Best Practices


    The Department of Management of Studies have three unique Best Practices. These Practices help the students in overall exposer. These are Rural Immersion, International Internship and involvement of Industry Representative and Alumni Representation for Enriching Curriculum as per Industry requirements. This help the students to remain updated with the latest trend in the industry.

    1. Rural Immersion

    Students are exposed to the socio-economic issues in the rural settings under Board of Studies Regulation R2018 and R2020 Students in the 2nd Year, 1st semester. The students visit nearby villages in a batch of 5/6 students to study the following aspects.


    • Village profile: Population, literacy rate, number of families, occupations, etc.
    • Historical background
    • Cultural Aspects
    • Agriculture
    • Economic conditions of the people
    • Education
    • Healthcare
    • Water resources
    • Electricity
    • Family Income
    • Infrastructure (Roads, water tanks, pumps, communication facilities, bridges, storage facilities, small scale industries, irrigation facilities etc.)
    • Implementation of Govt. Schemes

    The first visit gives them first hand understanding of the above aspects. Then there is a follow-up visit to cover the residual portion of above aspects. A Group report is submitted with the concerned village Authority and to the Department.

    2. International Internship

    Our students are getting virtual Internship opportunities at Asia University, Taiwan. Some of the Students also got Internship opportunity in a company in Dubai. These opportunities give them International exposer which helps them in shaping their future career.

    3. Curriculum Enrichment through Industry & Alumni

    The department has initiated Involvement of Industry and Alumni representatives through a structured Board meeting which is called “Industry Alumni Advisory Board”. The Industry expert and Alumni give their suggestions for Curriculum Enrichment. These Proposals are being shared based on the Industry requirements. This process helps to make our Curriculum more Industry oriented.

    • A Guest Lecture on “Job Orientation" by Mr. Mushkin Vally held on 30.06.2014. He is the student of MITS (MITS alumni) who is currently working as an Area Manager with Coromandel International Ltd. The company is an integral part of the Murugappa group, Chennai on 30.06.2014.
    • A Guest Lecture on “Applying for jobs in a better way” by Mr. K. Nagaraja (2006-08 batch with Roll No: 06691E0025) is an ex-student of MITS who is working as Senior HR Executive (Recruitment Specialist) , Unisys Global Services India Pvt Ltd. (Learning Labs Pvt Ltd), Bangalore visited our campus on 16th June 2014.
    • An awareness programme on NSDC star project programmes was conducted to MBA students by Dr. U. Chandra Sekhar on April 21-4-2014. Dr. U. Chandra sekhar detailed on the significance of NSDC projects, which plays a key role in shaping their career. At forenoon session, he had an interaction with senior staff on research initiatives which is need of the hour.
    • A Unique Workshop on "Micro Analysis of Financial Statements” A Unique model and Exercise Based session was organized for Third Semester MBA students by the Department of Management Studies, Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science, on 14/03/2014.       The University Grants Commission (UGC) has released PG professional fellowship grants to six students Mr. Y. Rohitha, Mr. M. Vinay Kumar, Mr. C. Rajesh, Mr. D. Lakshminarayana, Ms. A. Jyothi and Ms. D. Nirosha of MBA.

      The students of II MBA, MS. M. Ganga Prasanna (12691E0013), Mr. A. Md. Sameer (12691E0024), Mr. G. Mahesh (12691E0025) and Mr. V. Vasanth Kumar (13691E0104) were attended for Tyros-Slog 2014, IV National Level Management Fest which was Organized by the Department of Management Studies, Gates Institute of Technology, GOOTY during 6th and 7th January 2014 and secured First Prize in Ad Making.

    Exams

    Subsequent to being declared Autonomous in the year 2014 MITS has evolved a robust evaluation system that integrates in class performance with performance in final exams. Additionally two mid terms are conducted to enable students to evince their knowledge acquired. The final results are calculated by combining performances in assignments, mid terms, and final examination. The final exam evaluation is done through a double blind process.
